  This has been a family with friend tradition for years and the trip from Nebraska is worth it and the new owners are amazing and friendly around. Viking Lodge is a home away from home a easy 5+ star to come to every year.

  Nice simple and cozy cabin. My girlfriend and I stopped there as we were passing through to Thompson and were met with friendly employees who were very welcoming. Our lakeside cabin provided us with a lovely evening view of the lake and a beautiful site to behold the next morning while we sipped our coffee. I would recommend this stop over in Cranberry-Portage if you are looking for somewhere to stay for the night. If you are a fisherman I would suggest this as it seemed the majority of the people there were there to fish for most of the day. The facility is set up to address the needs of fisherman quite nicely.

  Been coming from the state's for over 40 years and the last 20 years we have stayed 4 months each year great fishing and a friendly little town

  Staying in the cabins. They are older fishing, hunting cabins. Reminds me of my younger years. Would be a great experience for children that never had this experience.
